Case Study - Crystal Palace Football Club
Founded in 1905, Premier League football club Crystal Palace is based in South London. The club is managed and run from offices spread across four different sites in London, including the historic 25,456 capacity Selhurst Park which has been the home ground since 1924.
As well as running five football teams, the club has created the Palace for Life Foundation which helps young people in South London achieve more in their lives through sport and education.
While moving with increasing speed towards paper-free processes, the club currently uses print to help the 150+ staff accomplish tasks in most areas including accounting, commercial and match day organisation (e.g. staff briefing sheets for match days).
The club’s previous fleet of devices was beginning to age. Breakdowns were occurring with increasing frequency with 12 different models in the fleet. Staff were having to devote unscheduled time to monitor and source the consumables required by each different model.
Overall, print was proving more expensive, more time-consuming, slower and less reliable than it should be.
