Case Study - Harold Benjamin Solicitors

Harold Benjamin is one of the UK’s leading law firms specialising in commercial property development. In line with its reputation for being forward-thinking and client-focussed, the business has expanded its offering to include a broad range of legal services for business in general and also for individuals. In the last three years, overall turnover has doubled to £7.5m and the firm now employs 80 staff across two London sites.

Files are increasingly digitised for storage purposes, but paper and print still play an important part in everyday activities. Workflow recently partnered with the expanding law firm to optimise its print, copy and scan environment – including cherry-picking more than 20 perfect fit devices.

The Issue

Operations Director, Jamie Abrahams, explained; “We expect to deliver fast, cost-efficient and 100% reliable services to our clients – and we expect the same from our own suppliers. I wanted to work with a business that would provide us with consistently excellent service whatever the query, whoever we spoke to at their end and whether or not our designated account manager was around at the time.”

Jamie continued; “I had heard good things about Workflow, but also needed to know that the installation of a new solution would be totally seamless. Any downtime or lack of access to case files was simply not an option. As it turned out, I needn’t have worried.”

The Opportunity

Harold Benjamin’s brief was to deliver robust managed print services capable of delivering high quality yet cost-efficient results, while streamlining processes and minimising environmental impact. Crucially, after-sales support needed to be outstanding.

After undertaking a full print audit, the Workflow team of IT experts designed and implemented a tailor-made solution to match the brief.

Seamless implementation

Operations Director, Jamie Abrahams, explained; “While some of Workflow’s competitors claim to know their IT, the Workflow engineers really are IT savvy. Their attention to detail and in-depth IT expertise meant they implemented and integrated the new solution without a single hitch.”

New technologies driving cleaner, leaner processes

Harold Benjamin’s new managed print service allows them to benefit from new technologies and outsource time-consuming tasks

  • Workflow remotely monitors consumable levels and service status, then replaces consumables and parts as well as carrying out essential maintenance across the entire fleet.
  • Detailed usage information enables the business to constantly fine-tune its print strategy – taking advantage of relevant new technologies.
  • Features such as print rules (e.g. double-sided printing) and new toner technologies help reduce the company’s carbon footprint.

Jamie Abrahams, Operations Director, commented; “Workflow make my life a lot easier. They take brilliant care of the whole of our print, copy and scan environment – and if something fails, the person answering the phone is the person who gets it fixed. The solution more than meets our needs and when those needs change, I have total faith that Workflow will flex to fit.”

  • In-depth IT expertise creatively applied

  • Seamless solution implementation including training

  • Exceptionally reliable and proactive on-going support

  • Devices’ service status and consumable levels are remotely monitored and automatically addressed

  • Improved visibility and control over print costs and usage

Workflow give us outstandingly good service. Right from a totally seamless implementation through to their first rate on-going support, we’ve had nothing but an excellent experience. They know exactly what they’re doing and they’re very good at doing it.
